Australia’s Most Trusted NDIS Personal Trainers
Don’t just take our word for it. Do your research on Fit Your Ability, and compare us with any other NDIS personal trainer you’re considering.
Here are 7 key reasons we believe we stand apart:
1. We Don’t Have Dozens of 1-Star Reviews
Of course, we have dozens of 5-star reviews, but you’re only as good as your worst performance.
Jump on Google and search:
- Fit Your Ability reviews
- Fitness Enhancement reviews (our main company)
- Any other NDIS provider you’re considering
Check Reddit threads that come up.
On Google, click “lowest rating” first and see what you find.
Anyone credible and trustworthy won’t have hundreds of people complaining online!
2. Family-Owned and Operated Since 1999
Our founder, Scott Hunt, started Fitness Enhancement as a teenager in 1999.
He’s still hands-on today:
- All day every day in our head office
- at disability expos – come say hi!
- working with NDIS participants
- speaking directly with families
- working with our team around the country
We’ve grown nationally, but at heart we’re still local family-owned businesses in your community.
No private equity or large corporate entities hiding from problems.
No passing you off to random PTs the owners have never spoken to.
No poster boy founder who’s been gone from the business for years.
3. NDIS Registered for Core and Capacity Building
Yes, we are actually NDIS-registered for personal training.
Often when you see PT businesses referencing NDIS PT, they are unregistered. There is a significant difference.
In addition to personal training, we are NDIS-registered across six other Core and Capacity Building line items. This means that no matter how we are working with you or your loved one, we are fully NDIS-registered for all forms of support we provide.
We are the only fitness business in Australia with this level of NDIS registration.
4. Recognised as One of the Best in the Industry
The fitness industry governing body, AUSactive (formerly Fitness Australia), has recognised us as one of the best in the fitness industry for more than a decade
We are the only NDIS-registered for disability fitness business to receive this level of recognition.
- Awarded Top 5 Personal Training Business in Australia
- Winner Employer of the Year 2022
- Winner Franchise Group of the Year and finalist for other years
- 5 x finalist for Most Inclusive and/or Diverse fitness program
Awards don’t mean anything, but recognition from your peers, staff and participants for the work you do means everything.
5. Local small business owners
Every Fit Your Ability location is run by a local small business owner, meaning you’re working with someone genuinely connected to your community — not a faceless company.
Each local owner works directly with Scott and our head office team, both face-to-face at regular meetups and remotely through ongoing weekly support.
Your local family-owned business is backed by our larger national family-owned company you the best of both worlds: Local care and national accountability.
Unlike others, we don’t outsource you or your loved one to random PTs that either Scott or your local owner has never met in person.
6. Advocacy — Not Just Business
7. We Didn’t Start Because of the NDIS
We’ve been helping people living with a disability achieve their fitness goals for over 25 years.
(Shout out to Darren, who’s been training with us for over two decades.)
Our NDIS registration in 2019 has allowed us to help more people — but it’s not why we exist.
We exist for the same reason we always have.
Because there are people who:
- can’t attend a gym
- don’t feel comfortable in that environment
- still need the right support to improve their health
That’s why Scott started the business in 1999 — and that’s still what drives us today.
