Advocating For Sports And Fitness At The Disability Expo
At Fit Your Ability, community isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the core of everything we do. That’s why being part of a wide variety of Disability Expos across the country means so much to our team. It wasn’t just about showcasing what we offer—it was about listening, learning, and connecting with the amazing individuals and families that make up the disability community.
Here's a few of our favourite snaps and moments from the expos!
Engaging with the Community
Our booth became a hub for real conversations. We met people of all ages and abilities—from parents seeking inclusive fitness for their children to NDIS participants looking to build strength and confidence. Many were excited to discover our accessible personal training, adaptive fitness programs, and NDIS-registered services—all delivered in a safe, supportive, and private environment.
Making a Lasting Impact
For some, it was their first time seeing fitness programs designed just for them. For others, it was the encouragement they needed to start moving again. The positivity we received reminded us why we do what we do—breaking down barriers and empowering people to thrive through movement.
Empowering All Abilities to Move
At the Expo, we keep it simple but meaningful. Ten punches, or even ten light taps for those with limited mobility, is all it takes to earn our Just Keep Punching sticker. It’s not about how big the movement is. It’s about showing up and doing what you can.
The sticker isn’t just a giveaway. It’s a symbol of effort and progress. A little trophy that says all types of movement are worth celebrating.
We use it to show that no matter your ability, you can move more than you used to and feel that real sense of achievement and pride for doing it. Because every punch, every tap, every small step forward matters.
